Purpose and Activities

It is the foundation's mission to address unmet healthcare needs in the greater Houston, Texas, community through the provision of educational scholarships in nursing and community grants supporting the delivery of health care. Scholarships are awarded to students who have graduated from high school and will be attending an accepted undergraduate program in preparation for entry into an accredited college program leading to a bachelor's degree in nursing.

Grants to Individuals Program

Scholarships to individuals with financial need who are pursuing a professional nursing career in the Greater Houston, TX community.

Nursing Scholarships

Scholarships are awarded based on academics, leadership ability, community involvement, financial need, and commitment to pursuing a nursing career. Scholarship recipients receive up to $4,000 per year to be used for tuition, books, and fees at Houston area colleges and universities providing programs leading to a nursing degree. Scholarships are awarded to students: 1) who have graduated from high school and will be attending an accepted undergraduate program in preparation for entry into an accredited college program leading to a bachelor’s degree in nursing, and 2) who have been accepted into an accredited bachelor’s-level nursing program, or who have been accepted into an accredited graduate-level nursing program leading to a master's degree in nursing or a Nurse Practitioner degree.
