Established in 2008 in CA - Founded by Thomas F. "Tom" Steyer and Kathryn "Kat" Taylor. Tom Steyer is the founder and former co-senior Managing Partner of the capital management firm Farallon Capital Management, L.L.C. and a co-founder of OneCalifornia Bank. He also funded the TomKat Center for Sustainable Energy at Stanford University, where he serves on the Board of Trustees. Tom Steyer and Kathryn Taylor have committed to The Giving Pledge, and have pledged to give away at least half of their wealth to philanthropy.
