Giving primarily for the support, encouragement of and assistance to, small, rural libraries in Texas, which serve populations of 12,000 or less.

Library Upgrade Program

This program assist libraries in upgrading their automation systems.

Small Library Management Training Program

This is a program of the Texas State Library which offers management skills to Texas librarians. The program is designed for non-MLS library directors of small community (25,000 or less population) libraries, however much of the content will apply to any non-MLS staff that are currently managers or are on a path to management. Texas Library Association (TLA) Travel Stipend

The foundation provides funds to the Texas Library Association to award stipends to persons in rural libraries across the state to attend the TLA Annual Conference. Persons from libraries that serve a population of 12,000 or less qualify to apply for this grant. Staff directly involved in the day to day operation of the library are the primary focus of this grant. See foundation web site for current deadline and application form.
