Program Area(s)

The grantmaker has identified the following area(s) of interest:

Children, Youth & Families Program

This program is designed to help young people realize their full potential and become caring, productive citizens. The focus is on underserved youth who face economic and/or personal barriers to success. CY&F grants support Capacity Building projects that enhance operations, management and/or governance in order to strengthen a non-profit agency’s overall effectiveness and long-term sustainability and better serve children, youth and families in the foundation's area. The intent of the program is to build leadership skills and management capacity in a way that will help good agencies (or a program within the agency) become stronger and more financially stable. See foundation web site for further information.

Grants to Individuals Program

Scholarships to graduating seniors who are residents of Sudbury, MA, or the descendents of residents, students of Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School, and dependents of full-time employees of the Town of Sudbury, MA, or Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School.

The Atkinson Scholarship Program

The program was established in 1995 to recognize local students with financial need, academic promise, and the capacity to make a meaningful contribution to society.

The Environmental Program

This program supports the fisheries and coastal communities of the Gulf of Maine, which encompasses 36,000-square miles of ocean and connects the New England states of Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine with adjoining Canadian provinces.

The Sudbury Program

The program is designed to help the people of Sudbury, MA, and their public and non-profit institutions to enhance the quality of community life. The program is open to Sudbury's public and non-profit institutions, and to organizations located outside of Sudbury for projects of direct and substantial benefit to residents of Sudbury.
