Analytical Chemistry Professor Starter Grant

The society awards one grant of $20,000 per year to an assistant professor in the field of analytical chemistry. The purpose of this grant is to encourage high-quality, innovative research by a new analytical chemistry professor and to promote the training and development of graduate students in this field.

Elementary/Middle School Science Equipment Grant

The society invites every teacher who teaches science in selected counties of OH, PA, and WV to apply for an SACP Elementary/Middle School Equipment Grant. Applicant need not be designated as an official science teacher. The grant is for a maximum of $500, and at least 60 proposals will be funded.

Grants to Individuals Program

Awards to individuals by nomination only for outstanding achievements in the field of analytical chemistry and/or applied spectroscopy in the PA, area. Scholarships to high school seniors and summer internships to college juniors and seniors who are chemistry majors and plan to pursue graduate education in analytical chemistry. Grants to PA science teachers and undergraduate science researchers.

High School Science Essay Contest

Keene Dimick Award

$5,000 cash award presented annually for noteworthy accomplishments in the area of gas and supercritical fluid chromatography (GC,SFC). Awards are presented at a symposium arranged by the awardee during the Pittsburgh Conference.

Middle School Science Essay Contest

Prizes of varying cash amounts given to middle school students for winning essays on science topics.

Pittsburgh Analytical Chemistry Award

$2,000 award given in recognition of outstanding research in the field of analytical chemistry.

Undergraduate Analytical Research Program (UARP) Grant

The society has established a $10,000 annual grant to promote high-quality, innovative undergraduate research in the field of analytical chemistry and to promote training and development of undergraduate students in the field of analytical chemistry. Chemistry faculty at U.S. colleges and universities not having a graduate program in the chemical sciences are eligible to apply.

Waters Instrumentation Symposia

Honoraria are paid to participants in this symposium, which recognizes pioneers in the development of scientific instrumentation.
