Grants to Individuals Program

Scholarships to deserving young women who have attained the honor of Silver or Gold Girl Scout award, pursuing a major/minor in a foreign language or studying abroad.

Scholarship to Study a Foreign Language

The scholarship is to undergraduate women who have attained at least the honor of Silver Award Girl Scout, and who plan to or are currently pursuing a major/minor in foreign language at a four year college/university. The scholarship provides $1,500 per academic year, and may be renewed three times following the initial award, for a total of $6,000 maximum award. Applicants must maintain a "B" or better GPA overall and in a foreign language (3.0 on a 4.0 scale, or 4.0 on a 5.0 scale).

Scholarship to Study Abroad

The scholarship to study abroad provides $1,000 to the awardee upon verification that they have begun their study abroad experience. The foundation will support Silver or Gold Award Girl Scouts who plan to study abroad irrespective of major/minor. Applicant must provide proof that they have been accepted to study in an accredited "study abroad" program and must have attained at least a cumulative "B" average. The Scholarship to Study Abroad is not renewable. The awards are for undergraduate study only.
