Purpose and Activities

The Yoreinu Foundation's mission is to promote the ideology of Modern-Orthodox Judaism that supports the synthesis of Jewish values and the observance of Jewish law with the secular, modern world, amidst the religious Zionist sector in Israel that has a significant role to play in fostering Jewish unity, a shared Jewish identity, and ethical social values; ultimately resulting in enhanced Jewish pride and the sanctification of G-d's name (Kiddush Hashem). The Foundation's primary target population is the religious Zionist sector in Israel, followed by the general (secular) Jewish sector. The Foundation's focus is the synthesis of Torah and democracy, social justice, the status of women, Jewish unity, and world culture, as reflected in the Foundation's values statement and ideological platform. The Foundation seeks to promote social change rather than just the provision of services that have a limited impact. It believes in study that leads to action, or the importance of both theory and practice.
