Established in 1997 in NC - Founded by Julian H. Robertson, Jr. in memory of his parents. He is the founder of Tiger Management LLC, an independent investment and wealth management firm. Robertson built it into one of the world’s largest hedge-fund management firms and by mid-1998 assets had soared to about $22 billion. Julian H. Robertson, Jr. has committed to The Giving Pledge, and has pledged to give away at least half of his wealth to philanthropy

The foundation, committed to improving the quality of life in Salisbury, NC, and its surrounding area, is interested in funding programs that address social, family, educational, health, and neighborhood issues, and those which enrich lives through cultural, artistic and recreational opportunities.
