These three awards cover the costs of tuition and books, the Robert W. Richardson Award of $5,000, the Leone J. Richardson Award of $3,000, and the Virginia Richardson Stanton Award of $2,000. Applicants need not be music majors. They must, however, have a GPA of at least 2.0 and demonstrate talent and potential in either instrumental or vocal music. Career orientation, academic excellence, and social, civic, and personal responsibility will also be considered. Solo works are preferred, but if a group performance is used, applicant's part must be identified and other performers credited. Selected students will be requested to attend an interview. Those who are successful in the interview stage will then be requested to perform at the Robert W. Richardson Annual Recital in March.
