Established in 2010 in IL - Founded by Oprah G. Winfrey, a talk-show host, actress and businesswoman. Her popular television talk show aired nationally from 1986 to 2011. She is the founder of Harpo Productions, which is a multimedia production company. Its television credits include "The Oprah Winfrey Show," "Dr. Phil," and "Rachael Ray." "The Oprah Winfrey Show" received three Daytime Emmy Awards in the categories of Outstanding Host, Outstanding Talk/Service Program and Outstanding Direction. In 1988, it received its second consecutive Daytime Emmy Award as Outstanding Talk/Service Program, and Ms. Winfrey received the International Radio and Television Society's "Broadcaster of the Year" Award. Harpo Production's film credits include "The Great Debaters," "Beloved," (which Ms. Winfrey also produced and starred in) and "The Wedding." It produces the radio program "Oprah and Friends," and in addition it publishes two magazines: "O, The Oprah Magazine" and "O At Home." In 1985, she co-starred in "The Color Purple." She has been named by Forbes as the world's most powerful celebrity in 2005, 2007, 2008 and 2010
