Purpose and Activities

The foundation only awards grants pertaining to children's issues in 5 categories: 1) Health, 2) Education, 3) Child & Family Development, 4) Moral Citizenship, and 5) The Arts. Included in this is funding for three children's health clinics, child welfare, a hospital and a hospital building fund, and education; support also for arts and cultural activities, including museums, and symphony education of grade school children. The foundation also funds a health education center, dedicated to promoting a healthy city through culturally and linguistically appropriate health education and health promotion programs, training and leadership development, and collaboration with a diverse community.
