Established in 1986 in CA - Founded by Lowell Milken, Chair. of Heron International, a London-based property development company, and Knowledge Universe, Inc., a company that is involved in early childhood education and educational programs and services.

Giving to build human resources through programs in four major areas: 1) Education: to reward educational innovators, stimulate creativity among students, involve parents and other citizens in the school system, and offer opportunities to the disadvantaged student; 2) Health Care and Medical Research: to make the benefits of both basic and highly advanced health care available to those who need them; 3) Community Services: to support programs and facilities that meet the essential needs at the neighborhood level; and 4) Human Welfare: to meet the compelling needs of the disadvantaged.
