Community Response Grants

With this traditional application process, the foundation learns from nonprofit organizations about the important work needed to improve health and health care in greater Des Moines, IA. Twice annually, the foundation staff and Grant Review Committee review applications and make recommendations for board consideration and funding decisions. The foundation is interested in projects/programs that affect specific health results in a target population, and measure if the target population is better off. Health Initiative Grants

Established in 1999, the foundation established this initiative to commit a significant portion of available grant funding to major health projects. The foundation identifies specific health issues, defined projects, and community partnerships and invites selected applicants to address these priorities.
