The Merchants Fund is committed to providing for the economic needs of the merchant community by making modest grants to small businesses. Merchants must do business in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and have conducted business for a minimum of three years. Grant-making areas include: stabilization grants, loan matches, and emergency grants.

Relief assistance to economically disadvantaged merchants, business owners and former business owners, and widows and families in the Philadelphia, PA, area.

Special Grants

This program provides relief to struggling merchants of the city of Philadelphia, especially if aged or infirm. It also provides temporary financial assistance to businesses in financial difficulty due to medical crisis or family emergency. When in the judgment of the Board of Directors, the corporation has sufficient assets to do so, it will extend relief to the widows of deceased beneficiaries.
