Galveston County Scholarship Program (GCSP)

This program provides scholarships based on both need and merit to students who were residents of Galveston County, TX, at the time of their high school graduation. Scholarship recipients are able to take their award with them to any Texas college. The foundation is currently not accepting new applications for this program. Scholars who currently participate in the program may reapply by completing and submitting a renewal application. See web site for details and renewal application forms .

Grants to Individuals Program

Scholarships to students who were residents of Galveston, county TX pursuing higher education.

Lyons Scholarship Program

This program provides funding for four-year need-based scholarships to selected eligible Galveston County students who wish to pursue a degree at Texas A&M University at Galveston. The current program accepts students from all majors. See web site for additional information.

Pelagic Fisheries Conservation Program, (PFCP)

The main focus of this program is to elucidate the biology and life history of billfishes in the Gulf of Mexico with special emphasis on the blue marlin. The long term goal of the program is to encourage research that will allow for successful management and the development of sustainable populations of pelagic fishes in the Gulf of Mexico.
