Established in 1991 in WA - The foundation was formed with the vision of its founder, Benn Martin, whose goal was to fund scholarships for students currently attending community college, who desire to complete their baccalaureate degree at the University of Washington. Martin was particularly interested in assisting students who have had a positive impact in their community. Over the years, the foundation formed an alliance with the undergraduate scholarship office at the University of Washington, both to help identify students who are focused on improving their lives and community, and administer the active scholarships

Purpose and Activities

The foundation is dedicated to assisting students who are Washington state residents, enrolled in Washington state community colleges, and wish to pursue a college degree at the University of Washington.
