Purpose and Activities

Scholarship awards to high school graduates from Christian, Macoupin and Montgomery counties who are enrolled or have been accepted to a college or university as full time science or engineering majors. Some consideration is given to those from the townships of Auburn, Divernon, Flat Branch, Mechanicsburg in Sangamon County, Mowequa, Pawnee, or Shelbyville in Shelby County.

Grants to Individuals Program

Scholarships to high school graduates from specific geographical areas of southern IL, pursuing engineering or scientific fields of study on a full-time basis.

Scholarship Fund

Recipients must be from one of the following locales in southern IL: Christian, Montgomery, or Macoupin counties; the townships of Auburn, Pawnee, Divernon, Rochester, and Mechanicsburg in Sangamon County; or the townships of Moweaqua, Flat Branch, or Shelbyville in Shelby County. Generally five to fifteen new recipients are chosen each year. Students must be enrolled on a full-time basis, pursue an education in engineering or a scientific field, and maintain at least a "C" average. Verified transcripts of courses taken and grades received are required during scholarship funding. The Board must be notified of any change in circumstances.
