Giving primarily to social service agencies for the aged and handicapped, civic and cultural programs, including libraries and museums, elementary and higher education, health associations, including hospitals and hospices, and agricultural funds; also to a scholarship program for Ferndale High School seniors who are planning to attend a four-year university or college in California and major in agriculture. If there are no eligible Ferndale High School students, students from Fortuna High School will be invited to participate.

Scholarships to graduates of Ferndale High School, CA, who are planning to attend a four-year university or college in CA and major in agriculture.

Russ Scholarship

Scholarships in the amount of $7,500 per year for four years, for a total of $30,000 to students majoring in agriculture at a four year university or college in California. Applicant must be a full time student (12 units) each term, maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0, and submit at the conclusion of each term, documentation to verify major, full time status and GPA.
