Established in 2007 in MI - In order to save on administrative expenses, James H. LoPrete consolidated, under Michigan law, two foundations which had been Michigan corporations: Louis and Nellie Sieg Foundation and Frank G. and Gertrude Dunlap Foundation. The trustees of each of the consolidating corporations and of the consolidated corporation are James H. LoPrete, and his sons, James and Robert. In order to avoid having to choose one of the two consolidating corporation's names for the new corporation, Mr. LoPrete chose LoPrete Family Foundation as the name for the new consolidated corporation.
