Through the foundation's Fairfield County Academic Gain Award, public elementary schools (and their employees) in Fairfield County, CT, are eligible to be awarded for providing quality education. Each full time employee in the prior academic year at the winning school receives $500, and the school receives $1,000 to be used at its discretion. The foundation's mission is to break the cycle of poverty through education.

The Fairfield County Academic Gain Award Program is designed to acknowledge the public elementary schools that have made the greatest academic gain in student achievement, create incentive for other schools to work towards significant academic gains and share the effective practices used by these high achieving schools. All public elementary schools in Fairfield County, CT are automatically eligible and considered for this award. Schools can not apply to win the award.
