Established in 1996 in PA - Founded by Jerry Lee, President and Owner of the last independent major metropolitan area top-ranked radio station, B101 (WBEB-FM) Philadelphia. In 1982, he created the Broadcast Industry Council to Improve American Productivity. In 1987, he received the President's Private Sector Initiative Award from President Ronald Reagan on behalf of The Broadcast Productivity Council. In the same year, he became Chair. of the Committee on Local Radio Audience Measurement. He was inducted into the Broadcasting and Cable Hall of Fame in 2004, and in 2008, he was named a "Giant of Broadcasting" by the Library of American Broadcasting.
