Established in 1997 in CA - Founded by Norman Lear, a television writer and producer who has worked on such shows as "All in the Family," "Sanford and Son," "Maude," "Good Times," "The Jeffersons," "One Day at a Time," "Diff'rent Strokes," "The Facts of Life," and "Who's the Boss?" He was inducted into the Television Academy Hall of Fame in 1984, and had a National Medal of Arts conferred onto him in 1999 by then-president Bill Clinton.
