Established in 2002 in LA - Founded by Emeril J. Lagasse, III, who is a chef, restaurateur, television personality and author of such cookbooks as "Farm to Fork: Cooking Local, Cooking Fresh" and "Emeril 20-40-60: Fresh Food Fast," as well as many others. Mr. Lagasse's cooking shows, "The Essence of Emeril" and "Emeril Live," have been nominated for eight Daytime Emmy Awards. He is also a regional winner of The James Beard Foundation Award, and is the owner, most notably, of "Emeril's Delmonico" restaurant.

Purpose and Activities

The foundation supports programs creating developmental opportunities for children within the following areas: public education, culinary arts, the arts and humanities, and life skills development. The foundation seeks to inspire, mentor and enable all young people, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances, to realize their full potential as productive and creative individuals. It supports and encourages programs creating developmental and educational opportunities for children within communities where Emeril's restaurants operate.
