Established in 1990 in DE and MD - Founded by the late John W. Kluge, who was an entrepreneur and a television industry mogul. He was a partner in a private venture named Metromedia Co., a media company with varied interests in the fields of technology, entertainment, telecommunications, and the restaurant industry. Among the major television and radio stations Metromedia owned in New York City were WNEW-TV and WNEW-FM. In 1986, he sold Metromedia to 20th Century Fox, which is now controlled by the News Corporation.
