Background

Established in 1988 in CA - Founded by Jay Leno, a stand-up comedian who hosted the "Tonight Show with Jay Leno." Leno began his show business career performing stand-up comedy routines around the country. In 1992, Leno replaced Johnny Carson as host of "The Tonight Show," which in 1995, won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Variety, Music or Comedy Series. Leno's show ran until May 29, 2009, at which point he was succeeded by Conan O'Brien.
