Purpose and Activities

The foundation was incorporated to improve the health and quality of life for children through grant support of New England-based pediatric researchers. Today’s research projects encompass many disciplines that accelerate pediatric discoveries while launching the careers of promising junior faculty. The foundation's Child Health Research Awards Program, supports newly independent faculty, provides the opportunity to demonstrate creativity, and assists in the transition to other sources of research funding. Projects must be hypothesis-driven, with relevance to child health.

Child Health Research Grants

The foundation focuses on projects conducted by newly appointed independent faculty who are in the initial stages of developing their research careers. The program is aimed at improving the health of children. Grants are limited to qualifying medical or academic institutions in the six New England States.
