Established in 1989 in MA - The Highland Street Connection was established by David J. McGrath Jr., the founder and owner of TAD Resources International, Inc. After David's death, the foundation received the majority of its current endowment. In his lifetime, David and JoAnn, contributed to a great number of charitable causes. Today, JoAnn and their five children, serve as the Highland Street board, and continue the traditions that she started with David.

Purpose and Activities

The Highland Street Foundation is a family foundation currently awarding grants to nonprofit organizations located predominantly in Massachusetts. The trustees have focused on providing assistance to disadvantaged and underserved children through the funding of programs that support education and mentoring. Grants have also been awarded in the areas of the environment, health care, housing, the arts, and social services.
