Established in 1994 in GA - The Foundation was founded in 1994 by Robert Harold Harrison, the only child of Luther and Susie Harrison. Mr. Harrison was the founder and sole owner until his death in 2001 of Harrison Poultry Inc., a vertically integrated poultry processing operation which is the largest employer in Barrow County, Georgia. Mr. Harrison's mother was a career educator, and Harold Harrison shared his parents' interest in education, serving on the Barrow County Board of Education as Chairman. The Foundation Board of Directors is composed of Mr. Harrison's daughters and two long-time friends and employees, and the Directors are closely involved with all aspects of the Foundation's activities.
