Additional Descriptor

Established in 1989 in NY - Founded by the late Keith Haring, who was an artist and social activist. He achieved his first public attention with chalk drawings in the subways of New York. Haring's "The Radiant Baby," with its bold lines, vivid colors, and active figures, became his symbol. During a career that spanned the 1980s, Haring’s work was featured in over 100 solo and group exhibitions. By expressing universal concepts of birth, death, love, sex and war, Haring's imagery has become a widely recognized visual language of the 20th century.
