Background

Established in 1991 in CA - Founded by Richard Gere, a film actor and human rights advocate. He has starred in such films as "American Gigolo," "An Officer and a Gentleman," "Internal Affairs," "Sommersby" and "Pretty Woman," and won a Golden Globe Award as Best Actor for his performance in the film "Chicago." Mr. Gere is also a co-founder of the Tibet House and is Chairman of the Board of Directors of the International Campaign for Tibet. Purpose and Activities
