The foundation makes grants to housing and shelter organizations working to support women and families in the Boston area and surrounding communities. Two types of grants are available. Capital grants, ranging from $25,000 to $100,000, support housing projects that reflect the foundation's mission, and may be used for construction expenses resulting from erecting new buildings, expanding or adding to current buildings, furniture fixes and equipment, and/or deferred maintenance on existing buildings. Grants of up to $50,000 are also available for capital improvements to childcare centers. Grants will not exceed ten percent of the applicant organization's annual budget.
