Farash Prize for Social Entrepreneurship

The foundation feels that grassroots social entrepreneurs too often go unrecognized by their communities. The foundation created this prize in order to honor individuals for significant accomplishments as social entrepreneurs. The goal of the prize is to honor what has been accomplished, and give visibility to individual entrepreneurs and their organizations. The prize encourages the continuation of innovative approaches to not only meet, but reduce, community needs. In recognition of the winner's accomplishments, the winner’s affiliated organization (not the individual themselves) receives $100,000. The prize is awarded on a biennial basis. See foundation web site for eligibility criteria and deadlines. .
