Established in 1995 in NY - Founded by Clive J. Davis. Mr. Davis is an award winning record producer, and a leading music industry executive. He began his career at Columbia Records as an attorney in 1960. By 1967, he was named president of Columbia Records. In 1974, Mr. Davis launched Arista, which is famous for such acts as Barry Manilow and the late Whitney Houston. He has won multiple Grammy awards as a Producer, most recently in 2006 for Kelly Clarkson's "Breakaway," and in 2009 for Jennifer Hudson's "Jennifer Hudson." Mr. Davis is a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. In 2000, Mr. Davis founded a new label, J Records.
