Trust established in 1947 in DE - Crystal Trust was created in 1947 by the late Irenee du Pont as a partial expression of his extensive interest in philanthropy. In 1964 the Trust received additional endowment under the terms of Mr. du Pont's will, and, since that time, it has operated on its present basis under the name "Crystal Trust"

Purpose and Activities

Giving mainly for higher and secondary education and social and family services, including youth and child welfare agencies, family planning, and programs for the aged, the disadvantaged, and the homeless; support also for the arts and cultural programs, health and hospitals, conservation programs, and historical preservation. Needs of the State of Delaware have priority.
