Established in 2008 in CA - Founded by Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong and Michele Chan. Soon-Shiong founded American Pharmaceutical Partners (APP), which he sold to Fresenius for $5.6 billion. He was also the chairman of Abraxis BioScience, which was sold to Celgene in a 2010 cash-and-stock deal for over $3 billion. Michele Chan is an actress who is known for her roles on the 1980s television shows "Hotel" and "Danger Bay." Patrick Soon-Shiong and Michele Chan have committed to The Giving Pledge, and have pledged to give away at least half of their wealth to philanthropy.
