Purpose and Activities

The Change a Life Foundation's founder has a unique philanthropic vision, which is an altruistic compassion for mankind and a heart-filled desire to help individuals in need. His vision is to help people directly who are in their most desperate hour with little or no resources to help themselves. The ultimate mission of the founder is to inspire and challenge grant recipients to follow his charitable example, and one day repay the favor by helping others in need. The foundation will continue to honor its founder and donor by fulfilling his mission to better society by anonymously helping one person at a time.

Program Area(s)

The grantmaker has identified the following area(s) of interest:

Grants to Individuals Program

Scholarships to high school seniors in Los Angeles, San Diego, and Orange Counties, CA, or emancipated and/or foster youth residing in CA, as either a graduating high school senior, or a student at a community college transferring to a four-year university (after two years completed).

Scholarship Program

The foundation currently funds in San Diego, Orange, and Los Angeles counties to provide scholarships to graduating high school seniors from underprivileged families. Most of these at-risk youth are the first in their families to attend a four-year college or university. And many of these youth have already endured challenges beyond most peoples' lifetime, and have had the resilience to overcome those challenges and succeed. The foundation believes that by investing in the education of these young people, a sense of hope and accomplishment will be instilled in them, propelling them to a bright and promising future. The foundation partners with the Los Angeles County Office of Education, Orange County Office of Education, emancipated youth from foster care throughout California, and the San Diego County Office of Education. Applicants should apply directly online at the foundation's web site.
