The foundation's vision is to improve the lives of children/families, communities and the environment through the involvement of successive generations of the family of Carolyn McKnight Christian. The foundation's mission is to support programs and initiatives that effect positive change now and into the future.

Community Grantmaking

Community Grantmaking focuses on economically disadvantaged children and youth, as well as community and cultural vitality in New Haven, CT, and Minneapolis, MN. Guidelines available on foundation web site.

Environmental Grantmaking

The current priority of this program is to support groups working in the Upper Midwest 5 state area (ND, SD, MN, WI, IA) to address climate change. The foundation is not accepting other types of proposals at this time. Refer to foundation web site for further information and application form.
