The foundation's mission is to advance the quality of surgical education in North America by raising and disseminating funds to underwrite high impact, innovative research projects and educational programs that will address the critical issues related to surgical education. .

Grants to Individuals Program

Fellowships and grants to researchers, educators, and clinicians investigating questions, issues and concerns that are integral to surgical education. Applicants must be Association for Surgical Education members.

Surgical Education Fellowship

Awards up to ten fellowships annually to spend a year studying under an advisor affiliated with the Foundation. Fellowships include $3,000 for tuition, travel to two seminars and costs associated with the Foundation's forum. Fellows are expected to submit the abstract or paper produced to a peer-reviewed forum or journal and to pass a final exam.
