Amy Writing Awards

The award recognizes creative, skillful writing that presents in a sensitive, thought-provoking manner the biblical position on issues affecting the world today. To be eligible, articles must be published in a secular publication. The author should present biblical truth as quoted from an accepted and popular edition of the Bible such as the New International Version, The Living Bible, the King James, or the Revised Standard Version. The article should deal with the Bible's position on current and provocative issues such as divorce, moral values, family, abortion, and addiction to drugs and alcohol. In addition to content, articles will be judged on their persuasive power, the author's skill in relating the Bible to contemporary issues, and the author's sensitivity in relating the biblical position to the search for the meaning of life.
