Established in 1973 in MA - The foundation was funded from the profits realized from the sale of the L.G. Balfour Co. in Attleboro, MA. The Balfour Co. was a well known maker of college rings, jewelry and other recognition products. At the time of his death in 1973, Lloyd G. Balfour was the sole owner of the company. Mr. Balfour established the foundation in his will.
