The foundation strives to improve the quality of life for people living in the metropolitan Chicago, IL, area, by funding projects and programs that help care for those in need, as well as nurture the environments in which they live, work and play. Building on the foundation's founder Ross D. Siragusa's compassion and generosity, the foundation believes in working with organizations, communities and other philanthropic entities to connect people with people, engage people in issues and bridge people to services, all with the purpose of fulfilling their basic needs, enhancing their lives, and fostering a sense of community. The foundation supports charitable organizations that reflect the founder's special interests in arts and culture, education, the environment, health services and medical research, and human services.
