Purpose and Activities

Scholarships to graduating seniors of public, private, or home schools in Carlton, Cloquet, Duluth, Esko, Hermantown, Proctor, Two Harbors, and Wrenshall high schools, Minnesota for study at any accredited private college or any branch of the University of Minnesota.


Established in 1984 in MN - Oscar Mitchell Jr. established this scholarship in 1984 to honor his parents, Oscar and Mary Wildey Mitchell. Oscar Mitchell Sr. practiced law in Duluth and was a very involved civic and community leader. Mary Wildey Mitchell taught school before moving to Duluth where she was an active member of several organizations
