About

Purpose and Activities

The foundation priorities are as follows: 30 percent of any periodic distribution amount shall be granted to animal welfare organizations or foundations within Los Angeles City and County that are demonstrably dedicated to the preservation and humane placement of abandoned and/or homeless small domesticated animals even when no homes for such animals are readily or immediately available; 25 percent of any periodic distribution amount shall be granted to medical research organizations that do not arbitrarily exclude from consideration any alternative or seemingly radical and/or controversial treatment that the American Medical Association may currently oppose; 25 percent of any periodic distribution amount shall be granted to humanitarian organizations that establish, to the trustee's satisfaction, that 80 percent or more of their proceeds are in fact used to alleviate human misery, suffering, and starvation, whenever and wherever these may occur in any part of the world; 20 percent of any periodic distribution amount shall be granted to educational institutions at the college and university level in the Los Angeles City and County areas that are dedicated to maintaining and raising the standards of scholastic excellence rather than to the proliferation of mediocrity.
