Incorporated in 1943 in GA as W.C. and Sarah H. Bradley Foundation; in 1982 absorbed the D.A. and Elizabeth Turner Foundation, Inc., also of GA - During his lifetime, William Clark Bradley, founder of the W.C. and Sarah H. Bradley Foundation, was chairman of the board of Columbus Manufacturing Company, Bradley Realty and Investment Company, Eagle and Phoenix Mills, and Columbus Iron Works, as well as president of Columbus Bank & Trust Company, Gate City Cotton Mills, and W.C. Bradley Company. The D.A. and Elizabeth B. Turner Foundation was founded by Mr. Bradley's son-in-law, D.A. Turner, formerly president and chairman of that foundation. Members of the Butler, Turner, and Corn families serve as officers and trustees of the foundation.
