Incorporated in 1968 in NY - Founded by the late Elmer H. Bobst, who was a prominent pharmaceutical company executive, a noted philanthropist and a trustee of New York University. In 1944, when Bobst retired from the pharmaceutical company Roche-Nutley, he was one of the nation's highest paid corporate executives. In 1945, he took charge of the ailing William Warner Company, which later became Warner-Lambert and which ultimately merged with Pfizer in 2000. In 1968, he was an advisor to the White House on health issues. In 1973, with the help of a six million dollar gift from Mr. Bobst, New York University opened the Elmer Holmes Bobst Library.
