Purpose and Activities

The United Way of Western Connecticut seeks to be a leader in mobilizing resources to improve lives and the community. It brings together community leaders, nonprofit organizations, volunteers and businesses to focus on the most pressing needs in its community and provides the resources - human, technical and financial - to get to the heart of problems. It funds programs and initiatives addressing three Community Impact Areas: Improving Community Wellness, Increasing Self-Sufficiency, and Successful Kids and Strong Families.
