Purpose and Activities
Grants for health, education, and for children and youth; the arts are a secondary field of interest. Of particular interest are organizations providing opportunities for economically disadvantaged populations, especially children and youth. Toward this end, the foundation has directed most of its support toward highly successful operators of non-traditional public schools that are playing an important role in Massachusetts’s efforts to eliminate the achievement gap.
