Incorporated in 1988 in TX - Founded by the late Harold Clark Simmons, who was a businessman and billionaire who helped develop the concept of the leveraged buyout. He controlled five public companies traded on the New York Stock Exchange. His net worth in 2011, according to Forbes, was $5.7 billion. Annette and Harold Simmons have committed to The Giving Pledge, and have pledged to give away at least half their wealth to philanthropy.
