Purpose and Activities

Giving to 1) promote self-esteem, self-confidence and a sense of pride in Jewish youth, emphasizing Jewish identity and historical accomplishments, and to promote causes to benefit the State of Israel; 2) to encourage measures for raising standards of research and prevention or suppression of mental illness and related disorders, including establishing or maintaining transitional living resources for afflicted individuals, to assist them in building confidence and the necessary tools for successful re-entry into the mainstream; 3) to promote resources to enable and empower deserving youth in broken homes and dysfunctional environments to develop self-esteem and self-confidence while assisting them to become productive adults; 4) to promote alternative transitional resources to enable and empower people in abusive relationships to develop self-esteem, and to allow them to productively improve their lives and eliminate abuse; 5) to promote conservation of natural resources, and the advancement of farming, by providing education to deserving students and funding research to benefit responsible farmers; 6) to encourage measures for preservation and conservation of wildlife, including the enhancement of animal life and promotion of animal welfare; 7) to match resources with the homeless whose private resources are inadequate, including financial assistance for the erection and operation of housing, and the opportunity for a better future; 8) to promote education by providing resources and financial assistance to enable motivated responsible individuals to secure an education; 9) to promote scientific and medical research for the alleviation of human suffering, including promoting a better quality of life and sense of dignity when encountering adversity; 10) to encourage measures for raising standards of medical care, research and prevention or suppression of disease; and 11) to promote public appreciation of literature, music, painting, dance and other fine arts.
