Purpose and Activities

The foundation is dedicated to helping the Jewish people flourish by supporting programs throughout the world that spread Jewish living, giving and learning. The foundation also provides assistance to non-sectarian charitable organizations dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in Tulsa, Oklahoma, especially in the areas of education, child development, and community service.

Established in 1987 in OK - Founded by the late Charles Schusterman and his wife Lynn Schusterman. Charles Schustermen founded and served as Chairman of Samson Investment Company, an energy exploration and production company. In 2011, KKR agreed to acquire all of Samson's assets on the Onshore Gulf Coast and deep water Gulf of Mexico. Lynn Shusterman has been active in Jewish communal affairs for over 40 years and currently holds a variety of distinguished leadership positions. Lynn Schusterman has committed to The Giving Pledge, and has pledged to give away at least half of her wealth to philanthropy.
